What this site
knows about you.
Almost nothing, and I would rather explain it in plain language than in three pages of boilerplate nobody reads.
The short version
One analytics cookie, and only if you said yes. No advertising, no profiles, no data sold or shared with anybody. If you said no, or never answered, this site sets nothing at all and works exactly the same.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and which ones they leave. That is the whole reason: I write here regularly, and without it I am guessing about what is worth writing.
Nothing loads until you allow it. Not the script, not a cookie, not even a request to Google — the banner appears before any of it exists. That is deliberate: asking permission after the fact is theatre, and it is why most cookie banners feel dishonest.
When you do allow it, your IP address is anonymised before it reaches Google, and the cookie is limited to this site. I see counts and pages. I do not see who you are, and there is no advertising integration of any kind.
Changing your mind: your answer is stored in your browser, not in a cookie, so refusing costs you nothing. You can change it whenever you like using the button below, and it takes effect immediately.
The free tools
Every check on this site runs entirely in your browser. The questions and answers are part of the page itself, nothing you click is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and I never see any of it. Your answers are kept in the address bar, after the # symbol, so you can share a result with your team. Browsers never send that part of a URL to a server, so it stays between you and whoever you send it to.
If you send me a brief
The form on Work with me reaches me by email. I use what you write to reply to you and, if we work together, to do the work. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not pass it to anyone.
Ask me to delete it and I will, without asking why. My address is hello@sgualda.com.
The newsletter
The newsletter runs on Substack. If you subscribe, your email address goes to them and is covered by their privacy policy, not by this page. Every issue has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
Hosting and logs
This site is hosted by Hostinger, in the European Union. Like any web host, their servers process the requests needed to deliver a page — including your IP address — for security and to keep the site online. I do not use those logs as analytics and I do not build any profile of you from them.
Fonts
The typefaces are served from this domain. No third party is involved in loading a page here, not for fonts, not for anything else.
When something breaks
If a script on this site throws an error, the browser sends me the error message, the file it happened in and the page it happened on. That’s all, no IP address, no cookie, no identifier of any kind, and nothing that could single you out. It exists so that a tool quietly failing in one browser does not stay broken for months.

Links to other sites — LinkedIn, Substack, anything I reference in an essay — are their responsibility once you click. This page only covers what happens on sgualda.com.
Your rights
I’m based in Spain, so the GDPR applies. You can ask what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. In practice the answer is usually “an email you sent me”, and one message to hello@sgualda.com resolves any of the above.
Changes
If this site ever starts collecting something else, this page changes in the same commit, and the date at the top changes with it. That is enforced rather than promised: the build fails if analytics is present and this page has not been updated to say so.
